In a letter to staff, Saint Paul Public Library Director Jane Eastwood assured the administration’s full support of any and all efforts to promote democracy. Citing libraries as “purveyors of truth in an era of fake news, a safe space for dialogue, and promotors of literacy, digital inclusion, and access to information,” Eastwood encouraged SPPL staff members to take action through programming, service, and outreach.
