Skokie Public Library has created a pop-up mobile lab to engage library patrons with civic learning opportunities. As the news cycle is up-to-the-minute and our newsletter cycle has to be planned in months in the future, this lab is intended to engage patrons with opportunities to discuss topics as they are happening. Some Civic Lab appearances are attached to events while others stand alone. We have had Pop-ups titled What Every American Should Know, What’s Happening at Standing Rock, Dear Elected Official, and Together at the Table. We have many more planned for the next few months.
