The Our Path Forward initiative pulls together resources and programs that reflect our values as an institution. We will also join with community partners to present programs on civics, a diverse America, anticipated federal policy changes, journalism and news media and other current topics that have arisen since the election, including four upcoming events:

(1) A panel discussion on March 23rd, Voices That Scan This Moment in Time, moderated by Heidi Legg of the editorial.com and featuring:

• Claire Messud, Author and Harvard English Professor in Fiction - who wrote a piece in The Guardian when Trump won and also contributed to an anthology coming out later this year around the US politics of today.

• Ron Sullivan Jr., mentored by President Obama, Harvard Law senior faculty on civil rights and incarceration, prison reform

• Susan Church who is the head of the New England immigration attorneys who filed the Stay on the Trump Ban

• Peter Kadzis, WGBH News Senior Political Reporter, former editor of The Boston Phoenix who can speak to journalism moments in time

(2) A facilitated conversation with community members on post-inauguration issues;  (3) A public reading of the Constitution; and  (4) A lecture with Nicholas Burns, the Roy and Barbara Goodman Family Professor of the Practice of Diplomacy and International Relations at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
