During the pandemic, Nashville Public Library knew that it needed to innovate to reach its audience, keep them engaged, and support them through one of the most trying times our city has faced in recent history. NPL Universe offers online streaming and accessibility to NPL offerings such as pre-recorded events, book clubs, puppet shows and more.
Challenge/Opportunity
The pandemic was an opportunity for communities and organizations to innovate and grow in the way they provide opportunities to those around them. For Nashville Public Library, we pivoted to providing programming completely virtually in one place everyone could easily access — NPL Universe.
Key Elements of Innovation
NPL Universe utilizes curated playlists to help people find exactly what they are looking for online in no time flat. It brings the wonderful array of NPL's community offerings to people's mobile devices, into their livings rooms and all around the world.
Achieved Outcomes
Approximately 199,000 people attended programming virtually in the last year. The channel has 4.81 thousand subscribers and 1,460,767 views.
