The IT Roadmap provides the San Antonio Public Library with a comprehensive and forward-looking strategic vision that allows us to not only reimagine the customer experience, but also provides an opportunity, through innovation, creativity and technology, to redefine our organizational DNA.


Key Elements of Innovation

The IT Roadmap is positioning SAPL to have a long-term technology plan that is supported by vital inputs that will help articulate priorities, need as well as the vision for each project to key stakeholders and city leaders. Having a technology plan will now be used as a best practice within the City of San Antonio.

The anticipated outcomes include:

  • Enhanced and personalized experience for internal and external customers
  • Increased public awareness of the library’s services and contributions
  • Efficiencies that will improve customer service
