Keynote Session (Presented by the Institute for the Future)

2019 ULC Forum Keynote Session

EthicalOS Workshop: Presented by the Institute for the Future

Institute for the Future

The Institute for the Future is the world’s leading futures thinking organization and for over 50 years businesses, governments and social impact organizations have depended upon IFTF resources and training to navigate complex change. ULC was excited to engage IFTF in leading an EthicalOS Workshop to introduce ULC members to practices that can help them to identify and align their work around the biggest risks that emerging technologies pose for their communities. The workshop provided leaders with a common language and toolset to explore potential challenges/risks posed by emerging technologies to the communities libraries serve and develop potential strategies to address/mitigate these risks. The EthicalOS Workshop also equipped library leaders to leverage this exploration model with their library teams.
