Community Information Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization that oversees operations of the nation's first technology library: Do Space. At Do Space, it is our mission to empower the Omaha community through access to technology and innovative learning experiences. Free to the public, Do Space is a place where community members can interact with cutting-edge technology and receive assistance and instruction in its use.
In the Do Space 3D Lab, members bring their ideas to life by designing and creating three-dimensional objects in plastic, wood, and other materials. In addition to four 3D printers, the Lab is equipped with a vinyl cutter and a laser cutter. Members can explore the 3D Lab through a series of popular introductory classes, request one-on-one mentorship assistance through our volunteer program, and reserve independent project time on any machine.
Do Space’s 3D Lab is an informal space for encouraging the do-it-yourself spirit, the sharing of ideas with others, and providing access to a wide range of creative technologies that are otherwise unavailable for free to the general public. More details about what is available can be found online at https://www.dospace.org/3d-lab/.
