Important NCFL Activities

November 5th, 2014

The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) is accepting nominations for the 2015 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year, which will award a $20,000 grant to an exemplary educator working with families in schools, libraries, or other community-based organizations. The second place winner will receive $2,500. Nominations are due December 31, 2014.

Both winners will be announced at the Families Learning Summit in Houston, TX -- March 16-18, 2015. Keynote speaker Leland Melvin, co-chair of the White House STEM Council, will announce the grand prize winner during the Summit luncheon.

In addition, keynote speakers for NCFL’s Summit include best-selling authors and reading and learning experts Donalyn Miller and Annie Murphy Paul. The Summit will offer sessions from our nation’s library thought leaders, the 2014 Toyota Teacher of the Year winner and Nashville Public Library leader Liz Atack, and library staff implementing pacesetting intergenerational programming.
