2018 ULC Annual Forum

In 2018, we find ourselves in continued socially turbulent times. Very little is stable and we are politically polarized. Because of this, the public library is more important than ever. Library leaders all across North America have found themselves thrust into important community leadership roles. Community members, in their search for social stability, are turning to the public library. The library is answering that call. As we tackle the issues of race and social equity, education/lifelong learning, workforce and economic development, public safety, health and wellness, and environmental sustainability, we must intentionally work to better the communities we serve and the world we live in.

At the ULC 2018 Annual Forum, Leading Forward, we will discuss today’s most pressing issues facing libraries and the broader society. Join us for this thought-provoking and poignant gathering of urban library leaders.
