2012 Top Innovators

“Just as energy is the basis of life itself and ideas the source of innovation, so is innovation the vital spark of all human change, improvement and progress.”

--Ted Levitt, Harvard Business Review

Each year, ULC invites its members to submit examples of the innovative programs, services and operating practices that exemplify the remarkable ability of public libraries to serve people and community. In many instances, these innovations are wholly new programs and ways of working. In others, the innovations are expanded and/or retooled approaches to established services.2012_Top_Innovators

Guidelines for the annual Innovations Initiative are posted each year in February. The Top Innovator Awardees are announced at ULC’s Annual Forum in June. Recipients are selected by a panel of library leaders whose identity remains anonymous.
