Partners for Success: Regional Solutions for Local Vitality
December 3-4, 2009
Nashville, TN

What regional initiatives are transforming your community?

How is community development being redefined, a shared vision being developed and alliances and plans launched?

Who is working together towards a common regional purpose, complementary roles collaborate action and compatible interests?

ULC’s premier Partners for Success 2009 conference theme is “Regional Solutions for Local Vitality.”  The conference is designed to bring together library directors, trustees and their key elected officials around important topics on the civic agenda.  This conference, held every other year, is a unique gathering of national leaders and thinkers.

The theme is selected to draw a broad and high-level national audience of public officials from cities and counties, in addition to library directors and library trustees.  As the boundaries between cities and counties overlap in new “megapolitan” regions, this conference will look at regional networks and collaboration.

Around the country, successful regional initiatives are demonstrating that no jurisdiction can go it alone.  This conference will showcase innovative regional efforts related to governance, housing, employment, health, environmental resources, transportation and education, and will explore the new set of leadership skills and tools that catalyze successful collaborative networks and strong commitment to regional identity.

We look forward to receiving your responses and shaping an exciting conference in 2009!
