Jan Sanders, Director of Libraries and Information Services, for the City of Pasadena, CA, will be honored as one of five Women of the Year by CA State Senator, Carol Liu. Jane Pyper, City Librarian of Toronto Public Library, ON, since 2008 will step down from her position in June. Under her leadership, the library has experienced dramatic growth, including a 1300% increase in e-book lending, expansion of children's services and development of the 99th and 100th Toronto Public Library branches.
