Learning Does Not and Cannot Stop
When the School Day Ends

Public libraries are facing an increased need to provide after school services for youth between the hours of 3pm – 6pm.

Join us for the Learning in Libraries National Conference in New York City on Thursday, October 19th and Friday, October 20th to build an After School Action Agenda for your community with colleagues from around the country.

The Urban Libraries Council invites you to learn about the Learning in Libraries initiative, a collaboration between Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Public Library and Queens Public Library and leading experts working with urban youth during and after school hours.

Your Learning in Libraries team may include leaders from your library and community partners from local government, youth-serving community agencies and/or education.

Come to New York with your Learning in Libraries team, and use this conference as an opportunity to build an After School Action Agenda  to implement back home.

Use this conference as an opportunity to collaborate with partners from youth service agencies in your area.

At this conference you will:

  • Communicate and learn about the Learning in Libraries program and how it is enriching the lives of youth after school in New York City.
  • Connect your library services to youth after school.
  • Create best practices to serve youth in your community.

Select your Learning in Libraries team today and apply to join us.
