Description:

Offered two screenings of a documentary about a transgender teenager and the support he received from his “chosen family” vs. his birth family. One screening was presented in conjunction with the Albany FilmFest and was followed by an audience discussion with the filmmaker. The other screening was followed by a Skype discussion with Bennett, the young man featured in the film.

Community members who attended were appreciative to have LGBT stories being featured at the library, especially during Pride month.
