We've been receiving news of member libraries' summer learning programs at a rapid clip. This week, Marcellus Turner and his team at The Seattle Public Library launched its 2013 Summer Reading Program by setting a new world record for the longest book domino chain! The books used to make this domino chain were either donated or are out of date and no longer in the library's collection. They are now being sold by the Friends of The Seattle Public Library to help raise money for library programs and services.
Check out the video that has already received close to 100,000 viewings and watch 2700+ books fall.
We hear that Seattle's ULC colleagues everywhere are already plotting to beat the record!
