Facilitating connections to resources and information
Every day ULC members create the true strength and lifeblood of this association by growing strong collegial networks, spreading best practices, and sharing policy and program experiences. ULC program activities build on this foundation by developing unique professional development opportunities, and by facilitating the exchange of ideas, resources, and information among peers. Members refer to ULC listservs as the equivalent of having “unlimited high-paid consultants on hundreds of issues” and “connections to people who share my challenges.” ULC communication activities also build on local media relations, showcasing the work and articulating the challenges of public libraries nationally. |
