ULC is fortunate to have a mix of library leaders – directors, trustees, managers, and corporate vendors -- who are invested in strengthening the library industry. This mix of perspectives fosters a broad vision of library industry potential and the development of library leaders who are effective and flexible in dynamic public management environments. ULC provides a place to explore and experiment with new organizational models, and to research and understand how public libraries build intellectual and social resources, fueling the knowledge economy. ULC is developing ways to clearly measure and articulate what the public gets and how public library services and resources make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities. It is also a place where library leaders collectively envision the future. |
