2016 IFLA to be Held in Columbus
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has selected Columbus, OH, as the site for its 2016 World Library and Information Congress to be held August 11-18 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Pat Losinski, Chief Executive Officer of Columbus Metropolitan Library says, "More than 4,000 library professionals from as many as 100 countries will be in Columbus, and I'm thrilled our region will be highlighted for its innovative, world-class public and academic libraries and acclaimed institutions of higher learning, arts, science and industry. This is a result of a community-wide effort by CML, Experience Columbus, The Ohio State University and OCLC to bring IFLA to central Ohio."
